The Denial Factor Living Truth Through Denial

What a country we have created.
were tired of the tyranny created by the English government. And based on this I believe the founders of our
This week like so many recently I was traveling up the Socialist State of California listening to the various talk
shows on the way. All of them expressed the same concerns regarding this insane collapse of freedom and
independence as a result of the bailout program our government is about to force on the American Public.
Barrack and all of his pompous crap kept reminding the Republicans that he was voted in as president and that the
Democrats were in charge. It sounded so much like a typical loser crying and stomping his feet, screaming that he
wanted his way. I guess some people never stop crying or feel they have enough, not even our new socialist
president.
To add to this frustration regarding the future loss of true human independence of the free American citizen I had
the chance to take a step back and spend time with the very souls that the O Mighty one is trying to save, the poor
or low income.
It is simply amazing to watch how the low or no income survives on our dime. The healthy ones sleep in up to
12:00PM, then spend the rest of the day browsing about the apartment complex I was visiting looking for drugs, free
cigarettes or liquor. Usually they are successful in their endeavors and by nightfall are primed for a good fight or
another night of partying.
Sadly enough for them they get quite annoyed when a working person has to wake them up at nine in the morning
so repairs can be provided to their unit.
And for those who are truly in financial straights have you ever noticed how everyone is simply against you, or just
waiting to pounce on you and your credit.
With all the jive talk about helping fix the economy very little has truly been done to relieve pressures on those
truly in need of help.
Take the credit card institutions for example. They are quick to offer you credit, but miss a payment date by one
day; just a couple a times and then you are screwed. First you get the nasty little warning about being late one
more time, then the notice of change in your terms. The terms are simple they raise your rate to 29.95% and tell
you to “Go to Hell”. If you do not agree with the terms they simply cancel your credit card.
For the first time in thirty years the credit card industry is taking a loss, and quite frankly I think they all deserve
to go broke, as they have been part of our demise over the last 30 years.
In California the budget is such a disaster that Governor Arnie has started his furlough program the 1st and 3rd
Fridays of each month. What he should do is fire half of these nit wits and tell the rest of them to pull their heads
out of where the sun does not shine and begin treating the citizens, you know the ones who ultimately pay their
salaries to back off and give us a breather, until we as American citizens can get things back on track.
But of course that will not happen because California is a Socialist Nation within a Nation and according to all state
employees the average citizen is nothing more than an ignorant piece of carbon matter taking up space and using
the precious resources this great nation within a nation possesses.
To close this week’s rant I had a chance to discuss all of this with a couple of school administrators this week and
you may be surprised at how this mess is affecting schools from a maintenance standpoint. In short the folks I
spoke with all expressed the same problems.
In one case a school district could not afford to make the necessary repairs to the HVAC systems in a number of
classrooms because of budget holds. In another case the district hired a private consulting firm to evaluate all
expenditures in an effort to justify the necessity for the correction or repair. And in the final conversation it was
learned that one person is doing the job of at least three people because of the shortage of funds. But in all cases I
am sure the Superintendants of these districts are doing just fine, while the real working class suffers.
Now keep in mind that just this last Saturday I read an article where in an effort to shave off and slim down the 850
billion dollar bailout bill that it was agreed that schools would lose tens of billions of dollars which was agreed upon
during a late-night bargain session in an effort to save the bill.
So, when I look back at all of this I ask you is this the America all of you asked for? If it is, well you got it.
Each week I tell my wife all of this and how messed up all of this is, and each week she constantly reminds me that
I cannot do a thing about it because no one is willing to get off of their butts and help. She also reminds me each
and every week about how so many of us are wrapped up in our tiny little capsules, hiding from the truth as long as
we can.
If only America still had citizens with guts and a sense or reality, like the ones at the Boston Tea Party, or World
War II.
Dave.
