Not always do my thoughts have to be deep, intelligent or even brilliant. Just the fact I am still thinking is a virtue. Think back a bit if you will. Have you ever noticed when the government, both federal and state are down to the yearend budget discussions and approval, it is always a historical moment because they were able to come to a conclusion on how to screw the American public again, offering the appearance they saved money. Of course Obama saved the day. This time they touted a big $38 billion cut in the budget. But as usual I really wonder how much more we could have saved. For instance, what about the promised $10 billion for Brazilian oil exploration we have committed ourselves to, or the numerous millions we threw at Libya saving humanity so they can kill more Christians in a number of years from now. Face it folks for many of us baby boomers we have seen that part of the world fighting each other, and themselves since we were kids, the French, Russians, British and of course the U.S have been involved and failed. I imagine we could have saved money if we downsized the government overall, starting with the EPA, and the thousands of different agencies we have allowed to be created without citizen vote over the last 40 years. Sadly it will take more than I and “The Denial Factor” to wake up America, and as long as we are handing out money to anyone with an excuse we will never improve. If you are thinking that I am just blaming the government, and its handout citizens, let’s not forget the unions and again bloated government agencies of which have forced industry away from our shores and into third world countries in order to survive. On a different national note American Idol voters last week proved to be as intelligent as the Federal Government, voting Pia Toscano out. This lady had it all, good looks, an excellent vocalist with a Celine Dionish nature on stage. All of the judges were devastated, as well as Tom Hanks, Ellen Degeneres and a number of other notables. A damn shame I say, but hey American has lost it. Does your kid’s birthday cake from Bakery taste a bit different, maybe not as creamy or as good as it used to be. Well if you are in California you can blame our nanny politicians, Assembly member Tony Mendoza (D-Artesia) to be exact for pushing AB 97 into place, again I believe without a vote from the citizens. Good Job Moron. The simple fact is that the government constantly tries to invade our lives leaving us no choice but to fight back. The problem is you all are a bit concerned about fighting back, as we all know we have allowed the government too much power. Oh, and check out that antique Governor Jerry Brown stomping around the state begging for more taxes claiming this will solve the deficit problem in CA. Wasn’t that what the last increase was supposed to do, you know the temporary one designed to solve the debt crisis? What happened? Remember “NO NEW TAXES”, instead let’s cut some government salaries divert the money to education, eliminate some state agencies, and cut down on nanny state laws allowing California employers and citizens to breath. As you probably have guessed I have researched the Presidential requirements and have posted them on my site. Think I am kidding about this, think again. Trump has the money, I have the desire, Obama has………………. what does Obama have? Enjoy. |
