The Denial Factor Living Truth Through Denial
|
Once every couple of years a client of mine and I meet to deal with issues that arise at her work place. At
that time we usually run the gambit of topics related to work, and like clockwork we wind up in a discussion
about religion. For some they would consider this a bit intrusive or offensive, based on today’s behavior in
relation to the fact that god has been replaced with an even higher order, Obama.
However in my case I find it neither offensive or intrusive, but enlightening and challenging. I say
challenging because the conversation is not based on my clients heartfelt beliefs of conversion, but on my
lack of belief and understanding of what religion should really mean to each and every person.
Each time we start this conversation we can easily count on one hour of debate, always ending up with me
devoid of conclusion or positive confirmation on the subject, meaning that I never take the next step
towards forgiveness of my sins. My client, however never gives up on believing in me and continues to pray
that someday I will see the light, before I really see the light. And that I say thank you, I only wish I could
figure it out.
But it appears I am not the only one, and in fact based on a recent survey it seems America is headed for
more trouble as religion throughout the country is in decline.
This got me to thinking about how different things were a mere 40 years ago. I remember many stores
being closed on Sunday mornings. Owning a motor home and a slug of motorcycles did not predominate the
average weekend. Guzzling down beer all day while, playing with dirt bikes, boats, or campers was not the
norm. I remember many of the kids in the neighborhood being forced to get dressed up so they could go to
church with their parents. Often to return from church around Eleven A.M. in time for lunch, and play.
Over the last umpteen years we have seen the imposition of women’s lib behavior taken to extremes,
elevated usage of drugs, reduced efforts to properly educate the young, and the never ending determination
by various organizations to subdue, and ultimately kill religion, leaving no evidence of their crime.
Are they succeeding? Well the survey suggest that the adverse behavior of the American society, along
with the vast temptations thrown at all of us each day is having the desired effect the anti religion
establishment is seeking. Everything from the weekend entertainment, both outdoor and indoors to the
president of the United States has either offered an alternative or an excuse not to believe in any higher
order other than man alone.
For some the Messiah Obama is the answer, but to what I ask. As it stands polls are suggesting that the
Messiah may not be as worldly or godly as all of the little people believed. And soon those same little
people are going to wake up to a new day where they too will be asked to pay back the atrocious debt the
Messiah has bestowed upon us. All I can say to that is they wanted change, and one of these days they will
get what they asked for.
Over the years science has been able to discover many locations noted in the bible thus solidifying facts
within the book itself. But at the same time we have seen new religions created by simply piggybacking on
existing religion, while changing a few facts to enhance their own beliefs and practices.
This last week has seen a run on crimes against society with mass killings in various locations throughout
our country and the world. We have seen AIG flip us off and prepare to dole out 165 million dollars in
bonuses, with our tax dollars mind you, and without any consideration to integrity.
Politicians are now without soul or integrity as they promise their peasants with more wealth, while planning
on taking it back at a later date, with interest.
Based on all of this maybe it is time to once again close down America on Sunday mornings, head for
church, get to know someone, other than a pompous politician, and maybe even recreate the family dinner
on Sunday evenings.
America needs all of us to wake up and see the light, before we really begin to see the light.
Good Day.
